Canyons Village Ski Condos

Canyons is not just a base, it’s a destination in itself. The ski terrain of Canyons Village is seamlessly integrated with Park City Mountain Resort through the Quicksilver Gondola. Yet, it maintains its distinct charm, separated from the Park City Limits by the tranquil White Barn green space. This gives it a unique stand-alone nature that sets it apart from the rest. Canyons Village is the base area at Park City Mountain Resort closest to I-80 and offers ski-in ski-out luxury homes, base area condos, and high-end townhomes. Condos make up 3/4 of all properties in Canyons Village and represent the lowest cost option, though there are many high-end developments at the lift base. The The Colony is a gated luxury single family community with exceptional ski in/out access and represents the high end of the Park City real estate market. Vacation rentals are allowed in most condos and townhomes, providing an income opportunity when you are not using the unit.

The resort base area expanded rapidly over the last several years and additional improvements are expected in the years to come, such as new high capacity gondola located near the The Pendry and The Lift. Where to find Canyons Ski Condos

The Canyons opened as Park City West in 1968 as a sister resort to Park City Mountain Resort and renamed ParkWest in 1975 – some locals continue to use the ParkWest to confuse new comers. The resort gained the name Canyons Resort name in 2010 following substantial upgrades including the now familiar Red Pine Gondola, the Ski Beach, and the now famous Orange Bubble Express with its heated seats. Vail took over operation in 2013 and combined PCMR and Canyons Resort and now refers to the area as Canyons Village at Park City.

During continuous name and ownership changes, real estate development continued in the base area, around the Cabriolet served parking area, and near the Frostwood Gondola base.

Canyons Village Base Area

The Village in Canyons Village is the bustling area where the lifts take skiers from the surrounding condominium communities up to the expansive Park City Mountain Resort. Skiers, bikers, and hikers buy lift tickets, rent equipment, and get information here. Those looking to recover or just enjoy one of Park City's 300 sunny days can lounge at the ski beach or Umbrella Bar, dine in one of the many restaurants spread throughout the various condo towers, or shop for clothing or equipment.

The ski condos in Canyons Village are diverse in their age and style. Some were built around the year 2000, vintage mountain charm, while others are recently built developments offering modern luxury. What all these condos have in common is their prime location. Whether they are ski-in ski-out properties or just a short walk through the village, all condos provide easy access to the slopes. This makes them the perfect base for your ski adventures. Some notable ski condo communities include:

  • The Pendry is the most luxurious resort condominium in Canyons Village. Located slopeside, the Pendry offers the very best in service and hospitality, world-class spa and fitness center, multiple restaurant and entertainment options wrapped in a modern aestetic. Ski in/out access, roof top pool, fully appointed rooms — this place has it all. All this luxury comes at a cost, the highest HOA fees in the area. The rooms feature ski run and mountain views and are luxurously appointed in a California inspired modern design featuring fireplaces, kitchens, washer/dryers, and balconies.
  • The Lift is a luxury condominium sporting family friendly amenities and located in the heart of Canyons Village. The units feature a chic modern design with fireplaces, floor to ceiling windows, fully equipped kitchens, walnut cabinetry, and balconies. Unit configurations range from 1 bedroom at 837 square feet up to 5 bedrooms at 3,219 square feet. The complex is amenity rich with ski in/out access to the Sunrise chair lift, a pool and two hot tubs, game room, fitness center with steam room, valet parking, and gear valet service.
  • YotelPAD generated significant buzz when introduced in 2020 with its innovative design, modern aestetic, and efficient use of space. The PADS, aka rooms, are compact with specialized, modern Italian furniture to that allows a 400 total square feet to easily contain a kitchenette, dining table, couch and coffee table, and beds for 4! The YotelPAD is family oriented with a pool, fitness center, coinless gameroom, transforming PADS, and location in the heart of Canyons Village.
  • Apex Residences is a ski in/out townhouse and condo development at the top of the base area. Built in 2019 with a minimalist, modern design, Apex epitimizes craftsmanship and high-end design. The 63 residences feature ski run and mountain views, range in size from 2,000 – 3,800 square feet, and offer three to five bedrooms.

Frostwood Gondola

The Frostwood Gondola Area of Canyons Village is an evolving part of the resort anchored by the prestigious Waldorf Astoria at the base of the Frostwood Gondola. This gondola serves as a convenient transport link, gracefully transporting people directly to the Canyons Village base area. The ski condos in this area are relatively recent and is home to the soon to be completed The Ascent, adding a touch of modern luxury to the landscape.   • Waldorf Astoria is a luxurious condotel located just a few steps from the Frostwood Gondola. It offers 175 beautifully designed guestrooms and residences, ranging from one-bedroom to four-bedrooms, many of which boast stunning mountain or ski slope views. The Waldorf Astoria is renowned for its top-notch amenities, including a wonderful spa, fine dining, a ski valet, an on-site club room, a fitness center, and a heated outdoor pool and hot tubs, ensuring a resort-like living experience for its guests.
  • The Ascent is a luxury development featuring 120 studio and one-bedroom condominium residences. Each residence boasts a balcony that offers stunning views of the golf course, ski slopes, and mountains. Perfectly located on the 11th Fairway of the Canyons Golf Course, it sits across from the Waldorf Astoria and Frostwood Gondola. The Ascent is equipped with top-notch amenities including a valet, ski storage, room service, a small conference space, an outdoor pool, hot tub, fitness room, and underground parking – everything one expects in a modern luxury resort ski condo.

Cabriolet Area

The Cabriolet Parking Area, the gateway to the Canyons Village at the Park City Mountain Resort. At the heart of this area is the Cabriolet, an open-air gondola that transports people from the entrance of the resort to the Canyons Village base area. Whether you’re a skier ready to hit the slopes or a visitor eager to explore the village, the Cabriolet offers a scenic and enjoyable ride to your destination. The main parking area for the resort is located next to the Cabriolet, providing easy access for visitors. Additionally, a bus stop is conveniently situated in this area for easy access to Old Town, Kimbal Junction shopping, or access to the trails. What makes the Cabriolet Parking Area even more appealing is the presence of several ski condo complexes in its vicinity.

  • Blackstone Residences is a condominium and townhome development in the Cabriolet area. This complex is home to 32 townhouses, each designed with a unique blend of comfort and luxury. Nestled adjacent to the 13th fairway of the Canyons Golf Course provide access to a swimming pool, hot tub, and fire pit. A little away from the action and so are a more affordable option for a newer unit.
  • Red Pine is a long established development with 260 units – 200 condominiums and 60 townhomes. The condos are generally below 1,000 square feet and feature one and two bedrooms. Unlike other developments in the Canyons Village real estate area, Red Pine is home to many long-term residents, adding a sense of community to the area. Its location, a short walk to the Cabriolet and the Farmer’s Market in the summer, adds to its appeal.
